Psytronik Software has confirmed that they will be releasing Soulless 2: The Armour of Gods for the Commodore 64.
Developed by the team at Icon 64, Soulless 2 is a follow up to the original Soulless game released back in 2012 which provided an interesting mix of game play borrowed from Draconius and Impossible Mission. However, the sequel takes a bit of shift with its style, this time taking inspiration from The Sacred Amour of Antiriad and sees King Rizek attempting to stop the evil wizard Kalen from getting his hands on the armour of gods which grants its holder with the weapon of the sun and the ability to fly.
Soulless 2 is shaping up to be a fine arcade adventure release that includes puzzles elements, weapon upgrades and a good sense of game play progression and looks to be one of Icon 64’s better releases since The Isle of the Cursed Prophet.
Soulless 2 is currently in the final stages of testing and will be released before the end of 2021.
