Antonio Savona has confirmed that a release date has been set for his upcoming C64 project – Monstro Giganto.
Teaming up with Lobo and Aldo Chiummo under the guise of The Pirates of Zanzibar (the same team responsible for BoxyMoxy), Antonio revealed on his twitter feed that Monstro Giganto is set for a a digital and cartridge release on 31 March 2021, via RGCD.
Featuring large monster characters drawn with PETSCII characters, Monstro Giganto will give gamers the opportunity to play their favourite giant monster as they go one on one with other monsters, with each monster having their own strengths and weaknesses.
While the game looks technically and visually impressive, it remains to be seen whether the game will be able to offer any long term enduring game play – I guess we’ll find out in about 6 weeks.
